Sitges, Spain is a very historic, beautiful about 45 minutes outside of Barcelona by train. I was so excited to hear we would be traveling to this stunning town because of it’s rich history that I’ve been learning about in my Spanish classes for years. We met our Sitges tour guide on the beach, and she lead us through the narrow streets, identifying some of the churches and historical sites. With buildings from as early as the 11th century, this town has adapted through many governmental, religious and cultural changes. It’s lengthy history has created a diverse population with influences from many surrounding countries, creating such a fun community.
After our walking tour, we grabbed some gelato on the beach and did some souvenir shopping. A few of us decided to get an Airbnb and enjoy the town for the evening, so we got dinner on the water and had too much fun.

The next morning we laid out on the beach, and enjoyed the clean Mediterranean water. The temperature was perfect, right in the 70s with lots of wind, and we wanted to beach all day. We took a short train ride back into Barcelona, and we’re already missing Sitges!
