The class had the option to stay in Sitges overnight or return back home which is about an hour and a half away from Barcelona. I chose to go home after the trip. However! Sitges is beautiful. The beach was lovely, I took a stroll on the boardwalk just looking around, taking in the sun and enjoying my environment. Before this we had a walking tour of the city, looking at the architecture, The many different stores that surround us, The history of the city and more. During the tour we walked past a shoe store that completely stole my attention. It was filled with colorful women’s heels and Sandals. As a shoe lover I was mesmerized. I eventually went back and bought some really cool heels. I also bought sage and incense from a local natural store in Sitges.
We also took a stop at a building that I believe used to be a children’s school where they have a small style garden. I really took this moment in and literally smelled the roses ( Roses are my favorite flower) . Sitges seemed like a very friendly little city. Kind of reminds me where people would go to retire and settle down. Not too much of a rush, Not too many people, great scenery, close to the beach and more. For food I went to a local food truck where I got a spicy teriyaki Thai bowl bowl with a vegetable roll…..It was not the best. Overall I enjoyed my day trip to Sitges.
