Visiting Sitges, as well as a local business, was very interesting and informative. At the local business, I learned a lot about how the local business operates. The guided tour of the local business was very well done, and I learned many things about the process in which the local business makes their products. I especially enjoyed when the local business allowed us to sample some of their products, and I ended up purchasing something from the local business to take home with me. I would say that the visit to the local business was the highlight of that day.
Sitges itself was lovely, but I was still somewhat overwhelmed by culture shock that day, so I feel as though I did not get to fully appreciate how chill Sitges was. And let me tell you – it was super chill. Personally, I would call Sitges one of the chillest places I have ever been.
One thing in Sitges that was very awkward – I had to go to the bathroom. I’m sorry that this is the second blog post back to back about a bathroom story, but I promise that I won’t have any more bathroom references. That being said – I needed to go to the bathroom and had to pay a Euro to use it. After going to the bathroom I set the toilet paper on the sink – big mistake. The owner began speaking to me in Catalan, then I tried apologizing in Spanish not realizing that it was Catalan, then I realized they were speaking Catalan and tried to apologize that I did not know any Catalan and it ended up being a very awkward encounter. But I got to go the bathroom at least.
