The day that we visited Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell was one of my favorite days spent as a group. Our tour guide, Julie, was a wonderful guide and gave an interview discussing the wheel-chair accessibility of the city of Barcelona.
Beyond that, it was very cool to see the Sagrada Familia – the architecture was amazing, and I’ve never seen anything like that in my life before. I’ve seen churches, sure, and I’ve seen “cathedrals” but I’ve never seen a cathedral. Gaudi was a crazy dude.
Park Guell was also lovely, although I wish that we had had more time to just sit and relax in the parc. In general, throughout the trip, I felt as though more time could have been spent just relaxing and taking in the scenery and culture, but I digress.
After the journey to Sagrada Familia and Park Guell, the gentlemen on the trip braved the streets of Barcelona to find some dinner. Our initial hope was to eat at burger restaurant Goiko, to engage in an act that we referred to as “getting Goiked.” Unfortunately, we were unable to get goiked that night. We would have to wait for another night to get Goiked. Anyways, we went to a different burger place and it was alright but it was the first greasy thing I had eaten on the trip and so I felt really bad afterwards. Really, really sleepy and tired and in general not great. Then we played Fortnite. Gotta love Fortnite, it is a great game.
