Our first Guest Lecture, Benjamin Cunningham, was a very interesting lecture. On one hand, he had a lot of experience to share working as both a foreign correspondent and as an author. He was very informative, but more so, at this point in my career journey I enjoy listening to perspective in this situation more so than taking everything at face value. I have my own methods, and I seek to improve my own personal process from hearing the successes of others rather than copy their entire process.
After the lecture I had Taco Bell. It was pretty good. Then it was time for a business visit.
The business visit to MediaPro was undoubtedly the highlight of the trip. It is easily the coolest media experience I have had at Point Park, and I’ve had White House Press Pool credentials. Getting to see their production center, and to learn about what they do was fascinating. The amount of football matches that they film is insane.
That night, the gentlemen of the trip had an absolutely amazing evening. Some cooked, others simply conversated, but everyone had a lovely time. Iberico carbonara pasta is probably the best pasta dish ever made. I assembled a delicious charcuterie board by going to the Mercat that morning. The charcuterie board included jamon iberico, manchego cheese, crackers, gouda and chorizo. I also decide to open the bottle of product that I had purchased from the local business that we visited while on our way to Sitges. It was a very high quality and I would recommend that local business.
