This is our big weekend to have a couple of free days so while many of my classmates took trips to places such as Paris and Italy I opted to stay here in Barcelona.

So far I am loving the “me time” I am having today. I got a pretty late start when I say late I genuinely mean 11:00 so I got my z’s in for sure. After appreciating my full night of sleep I got ready for the day. Quick side note looking presentable here is something I have a new appreciation for. Most of the time one can find me in sweats and a sweatshirt however, it is nice that no one wears that here because I am able to explore my style more!

Since I woke up so late I figured I may as well just grab some coffee and lunch at my favorite cafe. My order if anyone was curious has been the curry  chicken sandwich which let me tell you is sublime.

Later on in the day I hit the Boqueria which has turned into a place I visit frequently. I love walking around and choosing an assortment of items to munch on. It is also a great place to practice my spanish!

Unfortunately, I spilled my water all over myself while I was snacking so I had to run back to my apartment to change.

Next, I had heard it is cheap to get your nails done here so I walked on over to a few different nail salons here. Unfortunately, none of them do dip powder nails so I opted to not get them. It is okay though because I had a nice walk around the city by myself.

Lastly, I went to a wonderful dinner at Ciutat Comtal, a popular restaurant here recommended to me by my dad. I don’t really care if it was a tourist trap because it was incredible and not overpriced whatsoever.

This has been such a great day I am loving exploring Barcelona on my own. Feeling #independant.
