This has been a long day. We began waking up at eight o’clock to get on our bus to Girona. Immediately when I got to the pick up point I became increasingly nervous that my outfit and attire was not going to serve me well. This is because while I was in my little tank top dress, our tour guide had a whole long sleeve vest and scarf on…the weather app has not been my friend in Spain.

We stopped at a gas station where we bought water and snacks and then hit the road. Once we arrived in Girona I was amazed by the colorful buildings and bright red bridge over a catfish filled pond. Apparently, season 6 of game of thrones was filmed there which seems fitting to me based on the medieval aesthetic of the city.

If I could compare the aesthetic to another place I have been I would say it reminded me a lot of Jerusalem in terms of the materials the buildings and streets were constructed of.

After our tour of Girona and a quick ice cream lunch break we headed over to the Dali museum.

Of course I ended up freezing cold in my outfit so I purchased a sweatshirt from a shop close to the museum. While I felt touristy repping my Barcelona gear I am always here for a souvenir with a story!

The museum itself was incredible. Dali’s work takes a lot of inspiration from artists like Picasso and Michelangelo which was evident in his art. It was crazy to me that he was buried in the middle of a quad inside the museum itself a little narcissistic if you ask me but to each their own!

After a long day we bussed on back to Barcelona and I was able to take a nap as well. What an informative day!
