Madrid… more like MIDrid.
But seriously, I was not a huge fan of the city of Madrid. There was a lot that I liked, but as a city as a whole I wasn’t crazy about it. I absolutely love Barcelona – it is an amazing city bursting with culture. On top of that, there’s some amazing skateboarding.
Madrid lacked all of the things that made Barcelona so amazing. That isn’t to say that it wasn’t a good time – the walking tour was very informative and the Prado museum was AMAZING.
Seriously, our guide at the Prado museum was next level. He knew his stuff and I was really impressed. That being said, he was a very passionate guide, and at times got very in your face, which was odd. I chalked that up to cultural differences.
I have a cousin who lives in Madrid, and I was hoping to see her, but unfortunately I was unable to. That being said I was able to track down a copy of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, which is probably going to win Game of the Year but I am not far in enough to say if it deserves that title or not. It probably does, but I haven’t had enough time to play it on account of being in a foreign country for an extended period of time.
We also popped into a retro games store, which was very cool to see. The shop was well preserved and the collection was immaculate.
