Hola!

After Cunningham’s lecture ended around noon, we had free time until our tapas cooking class which started around 5:45 pm. I walked over to the Terra Veritas Market, which was where the class was taking place with my other roommates, and met the rest of the class outside. We were led through the market to the back room which made me feel like I entered onto a set of a cooking show.

We all piled into the room, put down our stuff, and met our instructor. Jessie spent her time filming a vlog of the cooking class as her final project (I’m very excited to see it).

Everyone in the class split up into smaller groups so we could all make tapas. Tapas are small shareable plates, almost like an appetizer. However; they’re usually very small so you order multiple different ones to share.

Tatum, Arianna, Erin, and I were in a group together and we got the easiest tapa; pan con tomate. It’s a classic, and so delicious, but I think it would have been a lot of fun to try and make something a little more difficult, especially because I enjoy being in a kitchen. However, I still had a good time, and I had fun with the display of our tapa. My group presented first out of the rest of the class. We all did a basic explanation of what we made and how we went about making it.

After everyone presented, we all had a sit down where we tried each other’s tapas. I loved everything I tried (but I skipped out on the soup; I hate soup.)

DINNER;

Tatum, Arianna, and I left the tapas class with the boys to go grab a bite to eat and a drink. Arianna invited Tatum and I, so we all went along. On our way there, the three of us decided to go off on our own and do something different for the night. We made reservations for this one restaurant, but had a while to wait so we explored the streets where we were. We found this little gem of a shop with a corner decorated like friends, and a smiley photo booth. We decided to take two sets of pictures, and we split them with each other. (I got one of each, Tatum and Arianna got one set). The friends corner led us to taking a bunch of cute pictures as well.

After the pictures, we started to head back to the restaurant for our reservations. It was super cute, but I was not a fan of my drink. Each drink had a theme, and Tatum’s was called “Tesla,” Arianna’s was called “Voyage,” and mine was called “Kriptonite.”
