Towards the back end of our first week, I had the wonderful opportunity to learn how to cook a variety of tapas alongside my friends Jonah and Gavin. Our tapas cooking session began with the preparation of Calamari, a dish that exceeded our expectations. With just squid and flour, we created a crispy and flavorful snack by frying it in oil and adding a touch of lemon and salt.

The cooking class took place in the middle of the day, prompting me to opt for a lighter dinner to savor the culinary creations from our class. After filling my stomach with the class’s creations, I ventured out to Plaça de la Universitat near our apartment, where I noticed skaters casually skating and showing off some of their skills. I couldn’t help but be impressed by their tricks and decided to capture the atmosphere by filming their “skate sesh”.

Throughout our stay, it was a recurring delight to witness the skaters in action at Plaça de la Universitat. This busy area became a hub of energy and creativity, providing a dynamic backdrop to my experiences in the city.

After filming the skaters, we further immersed ourselves in the culinary scene by exploring a couple of other restaurants close to our place!

As it got later in the night, we decided to bring our short day to a close. Reflecting on the tapas we learned to cook, the captivating skaters, and the savory culinary offerings, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the unique experiences that the city of Barcelona had bestowed upon us
