Today was a speed run through Girona and the Dali museum. Girona was a beautiful city with some amazing architecture which I wish I got to actually sit and enjoy.
There was a flower festival going on which made everything look even prettier. This was also the location where some scenes of Game of Thrones were filmed.
We went into a cathedral and so
me burial tombs. It was really different from the other cities we visited, I saw aqueducts far off in the distance.
Again, I really wish we weren’t sprinting through this city. I struggled to stay within range of the tour guide and could not hear anything she said. If I were to come back to Spain, I would really like to visit Girona again and give it the time it deserves.
Afterward, we went to the Dali museum which again felt extremely rushed. Our tour guide would often shuffle us into a room to point out a painting only to have us leave immediately after ignoring everything else in the room.
I thought there was really beautiful artwork in this museum. The statue in the courtyard which rains inside in the car is super interesting along with the fact he is buried in the museum to be close to his work is really cool to learn.
I wish the tour guide would have actuall
y discussed the art and explained the meaning behind the pieces more rather than giving a very touristy tour. Both Girona and the Dali Museum were very fun to explore and I look forward to the opportunity to visit both again and dive a bit deeper. And that’s about it.
