Today we started with a tour of the Theatre Lilure. I really thought it was cool of the technology they have to change and rearrange the seating to create tons of different compositions.
The flooring is made up of sections that can be raised or lowered separately. The seats are also able to be removed and turned, meaning the combinations are almost endless.
We also got a backstage look at the theatre and saw the lower parts of how the seating mechanism works. I had never heard or seen anything like this before and it was super interesting.
Later we had a guest speaker; Joseph Ortega who is the CEO and founder of Kings of Mambo which is a creative and graphic studio in Barcelona. Joseph has 25 years of experience working as a professional creative and also has 10 years of teaching experience.
Kings of Mambo have worked on over 1000 projects and don’t pigeonhole themselves on the type of work they will take. Specifically, Kings of Mambo are experts in creative and art direction, corporate identity, and brand design.
They are a small team of around 8 and all play various roles and need to be well-rounded. Some of the most used applications they use are Lightroom, After Effects, Illustrator, WordPress, Mailchimp, and Sendinblue.
Joseph showed us a lot of the projects his team has worked on over the years and also mentioned how you are always learning and adapting in this field. And that’s about it.
