After seeing the parade go through the city after FC Barcelona won the LaLiga Championship, we were convinced that we needed to buy tickets and experience a game! Our seats were high up, but the view was immaculate. The neergy in the crowd is also amazing, and there is little to no music or announcing within the stadium. Camp Nou is truly tremendous, and there were almost no empty seats anywhere in the stadium! From a broadcasting standpoint, there were many cameras all along the field, some up in the stands, and a few drones and cameras on wires above the field. After touring with MediaPro, it was really cool seeing them in action. There was also only one screen on the field, and I think they have a deep cultural appreciation for the sport, and do not want flashy distractions while the game is in progress. Most of the food and vendors are outside of the stadium unlike ones back here in the U.S. There is also little to no advertising around the stadium, and there is constantly a chant or other song that the crowd sings instead of one playing on speakers. There was music during halftime, but the only sound you hear during the game is the game itself and the crowd. There was little to no announcing, which was amazing to experience. The energy in the stadium is truly incredible. They did lose the game, but we stayed after to see them accept the trophy for the 2023 LaLiga Championship! The championship chant was stuck in my head for days to come and I am glad I spent a day of my free weekend for this opportunity.
