On this day, we got a behind the scenes look at one of Barcelona’s biggest live streaming broadcast companies that is the head broadcaster for Soccer. This tour we got to walk around the company and learn about the behind the scenes technology and techniques that go behind this level of media. The first stop we saw a huge green screen that towered over us, A camera that you usually see on tv sets, and a row of computer monitors. I immediately thought that this was the real deal. Our guide explained to us all the defining terms of what everything was called.

The guide showed us how they can change the scenery/ background on the camera to make it look like we were somewhere completely different then where we were and how they have several if not hundreds of different backgrounds they can make and develop. It was so cool being on a real green screen set. I got the chance to stand in front of the camera and make it look like I was standing in the middle of the airport.

Later we went upstairs into what looked like a news room! We see the long table set up with chairs and the camera in front with a large screen behind. The room was filled with bright neon colors. There was a separate stage to the left of the main stage with the table where reporters could interview with soccer players after the game and where the behind the scenes workers could make the viewers think that the soccer player was actually in the same building but really they are still at the arena ( I thought this was pretty cool.) I took plenty of pictures here that made me look like a real news anchor. This company has also worked on a few movie productions and have broadcasted some political content.
