Just when I though I could not fall more in love with Spain, we went to Madrid.

I will be honest – I was not all that excited for the early morning and the three hour train ride. But, I managed to sleep for the majority of the train and found myself eager to explore once we arrived in Madrid.

We were given some free time for lunch before a walking tour with Angel. During that time, I also had to run to the store and get a new outfit because I was FREEZING! Definitely the wrong day to wear a dress.

Nonetheless, we were off on our tour taking in all of the beautiful sights of Madrid. The city was more than I imagined it would be with beautiful architecture around every corner. Despite the on-and-off rain and cold, I had a great time walking the streets of Spain’s capital.

Out of all of the sights we saw, I think my favorite had to be the Royal Palace of Madrid, or the Madrid Palacio Real. The building itself was massive and so ornamental, I could not imagine living there! There was so many incredible buildings, fountains, and parks to see – I there was more time to explore!

That night, Sabrina, Katie, Jessie, and I got a dinner reservation at the same place we had eaten lunch earlier that day. We ended up having a really funny experience with our server that kept us all laughing. However, after a long day of travel and sightseeing, I was definitely happy to get to bed! The hotel beds were a treat, even if just for a night. Definitely an exhausting but exhilarating day!
