On Monday May 22nd we had our last business visit and guest lecture. We had visited Teatre Lliure (Theater Lliure). This business visit was very interesting, but it was not my favorite. I enjoyed going around learning the history of the theater, seeing everything backstage, and learning how everything works in the theater. The reason why I wasn’t the biggest fan of the visit is because I am not a theater person, I am a media and a public relations person. I did learn a lot of things this visit and if I ever enter a professional field in theater the information I learned would help greatly.
The guest lecture we had with Josep Ortega was amazing. This has been my favorite guest lecture we have had during my time in Spain. Josep is the founder of a company called Kings of Mambo, a website developing company. He first talked about his journey and how he was originally a photographer at first then he stumbled upon the Adobe Suite and he instantly fell in love with graphic design. Josep also talked about his struggles and how he overcame them when first starting a business. This was very insightful because I eventually want to start my own production company and everything he has said and done will greatly help out. He then showed some of the clients and websites he and his team have created, and they are amazing. One of his bigger clients is a car company that had crafts all of the leather for the seats. This company is called Seat and they produce all electric sports cars. Hopefully I can afford one of these cars someday. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Spain, and I would absolutely come back here but with my girlfriend because I just miss her too much.
