Started off today with a trip to the market, and then right to a sit down with Benjamin Cunningham, a journalist and author who studied in Europe for years. He had a lot of interesting insight on the insight of the differences between American and European journalism. He pointed out that American journalism is a lot more anger driven than European, which is true.

After that we paid a visit to MediaPro, a huge TV station that broadcasts a number of different programming. They showed us their virtual set using Unreal Engine, which was nothing short of insane. The amount of depth and customization that is possible with Unreal engine makes that a vital part in the future of TV production.

After that we got to see the technology that they used to broadcast every single LaLiga game. They also broadcasted the World Cup and the Olympics, some of the craziest gets a TV Station could have. Seeing a tour of such a huge tv station was really fun for me. I really enjoyed the tour.

After that, we had a boys night at home. Shout out to Blake and Gavin who made us a nice dinner of deviled eggs, garlic bread and Carbonaro. It was one of the best meals I’ve had here, in part due to the fact that we made it ourselves. I’m going to miss the high quality jamon that we can get here in Spain. It’s gonna be hard to go back to the regular deli fare.
