How did you first start getting into collecting vinyl records?

Mostly everything! I’ll even keep stuff I kinda hate, except country… I love to collect rock and jazz mostly, but also enjoy some pop stuff here and there!
Why do you love collecting vinyl records?
I love being able to buy something that you’ve never heard on a whim and wind up really liking it! I love the covers, the things that come with the record, the artwork, and most importantly, the sound! Nothing fills a room like a record player (and, unironically, a record collection 
).
What is the most recent record you got for your collection?
I recently picked up the Gorillaz new album Cracker Island. Thought it was very good!!
Where is your go-to place to look for records in Pittsburgh? And Why?
I live in the Reading area. My favorite shop is Vertigo in West Reading! That was the first shop I went to, and a large portion of my collection was bought there. It’s small enough to go through everything without spending a whole afternoon, and the shop owner is cool!
What is your all time favorite record you have in your collection?
Hard to pick one but I have a Mofi copy of Led Zeppelin II that I think would be my top choice.
What is that one record you really want, but don't have yet?
ALL OF THE RECORDS. I WANT THEM ALL. I’ve had an unnecessarily hard time finding a legit clean copy of CSNY Deja Vu. I think I’ve bought 3, some at a higher price tag than I would’ve liked, and they’ve all sucked.
Why Vinyl and not CDs or digital?
Vinyl sounds better, looks better, and has better value. I do use digital when I have to/want a playlist, but if I’m looking to jam, I’m going vinyl all the way!
