About this Project
This archival research project explores the appearances of dancers on stage at Point Park University. We have spent our time exploring the history of costuming and how that can be helpful in identify trends through Point Park costuming. Utilizing the University’s archive along with individuals that have experienced performance at Point Park in some way have given us the information found in this website. In addition, we have brought in our own experiences within the dance world and have integrated that into our research.
“Us”?- meet the three.

I am an Atlanta Native and am currently a Dance Major, with a Modern Concentration and a Psychology Minor at Point Park University. My interests expand beyond dance, branching off into other fields of Liberal Arts, such as Creative Direction and Fashion. Although I tend to seek knowledge in other aspects of the arts, I still show that I am capable to succeed in my current studies.

Hellooo! I am currently a sophomore at Point Park University, on the track for a BFA in Dance with a modern concentration. Originally from Ohio, I have spent the majority of my life dancing and I have loved every second of it. Along with dance, I create art in all sorts of mediums [follow my Instagram below :)], and I also enjoy cooking, baking, reading, and watching movies!

Hello! I am a current history student, and I have a special interest in costume history. I am also from just outside of Pittsburgh. In the fall I will be studying art history with an emphasis on fashion. I also danced for 15 years before coming to Point Park which brings this project together for me. Dance costume history is as important to study as any other discipline of history, and it’s my hope that the significance may be seen in our project.
