We are singlehandedly supporting this tower<\/p><\/div>\n

Yup – you read that right! Today, we made towers out of people!<\/p>\n

But before that, we went on a visit to a modernism museum right in the heart of Barcelona. I’ll be honest, I was expecting something more like the MoMA, but it was super interesting nonetheless!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"It was a tiny facility but there really was a lot to see. We started upstairs where there was a lot of furniture from the modernism era, which actually looked pretty similar to some of my grandparents furniture we have in my house.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

While a lot of the pieces I would not choose \"\"to include in my own home, I really did appreciate the different influences that I could see in every piece of furniture. Some of my favorites were the mirrors with their intricate gold designs. If I had the money, I would be buying one of those!<\/p>\n

\"\"We then continued downstairs where there was a lot more artwork on the walls and some statues as well. The ambiance in the basement was super cool, with darker lighting and exposed brick. As we circled through I was in awe of all of the beautiful artwork and the rich history behind it.<\/p>\n

After a few hours of free time, we headed to\"\" watch the Castellers practice. In Catalan, it is a tradition to make towers out of people, stacking as high as possible with a little kid on top! There was so much planning and teamwork involved and it was really incredible to see it all come together!<\/p>\n

At the end, they let a few volunteers join to actually be a part of the tower! Of course, I could not turn down the opportunity. I was told I was to big to climb up to the top, but nonetheless, it was fun to be a part of the final product.
