Day ten had a slow start, as for once I didn\u2019t have anything planned. For the last two days, E was sick, and we were waiting to see if he got better for the Natural History Museum and Archaeological museum. So, Paula, Ash, and I all decided to go to the National Gallery of Ireland. I wanted to see at least one art museum while in Ireland, so this was a good move. They had a very impressive collection of paintings here. <\/p>\n\n\n

It ranged from paintings of people, of Christ, and even had some statues and other more physical art displays. <\/p>\n\n\n

In one of the other sections there were paintings that looked very old and appeared to be maybe carved into. These were cool, and I\u2019ve never seen any paintings in this style before.<\/p>\n\n\n

I was shocked by the size of some of the paintings we saw \u2013 they were huge! <\/p>\n\n\n

Once we got to the first floor, they had some more modern paintings. And some of these were a lot more abstract than the older ones. <\/p>\n\n\n

You could really see the generational differences, and the differences between the styles of paintings from the artists. After the art museum, a couple hours would pass by and it would be time for our main activity of the day \u2013 The EPIC Museum. This is the Irish Emigration Museum, and offered a very different type of museum then what I\u2019m used to. It was very cool starting off, as they had this tunnel thing that basically shows you are now passing into the land of Ireland where many journeys began. <\/p>\n\n\n

We then went to several different sections of the museum, representing several different steps in the journey. It basically tried to show what things many Irish people who Emigrated had to go through. And it also showed what they did once they moved, such as work or the military. Another nice touch of this museum is that it had the Irish culture of full display, showcasing Irish achievements, music, and tendencies. It also displayed famous people with Irish heritage, showing just how many people come from Irish heritage. The museum had many interactive activities\u00a0 and displays, and as such kept you engaged. Overall, it was a very fascinating experience, I better than a lot of other museums I\u2019ve been to. After this we decided to get some Mexican food for dinner. Paula, Ash, Max, and I all went to a Mexican restaurant that Paula recommended. Some of them had really good looking margaritas. I got nachos. This was a tasty way to end the day!<\/p>\n\n\n
