Today we went to Dubinlina, which I’m surprised we never went to earlier, considering how close it was. Dublinia is a museum focusing on the medieval history of Dublin and its Viking origins. It was very interesting documenting how medieval society worked, the ins and outs of cultural differences, and such. A lot of it was about Viking settlements as well, and how parts of the city are still being excavated to this day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They had dual tickets to Christ Church, which I had already been to at mass; however, I hadn’t looked around (properly). The reason Christ Chruch is so old and not in ruins like the other churches around Ireland is because they converted to prostatism when Henry the 8th came to power. Still, Christ’s Chruch architecture is so breathtaking, and every detail is classic. I love it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that and a small rest, we went to the Guinness Storehouse. While being an insanely popular tourist attraction, Sean said it best, it was the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for beer, and wow, it was. It had not just the history of Guinness but also of Dublin and how Guinness has funded and helped it grow into the city it is now. We also learned in the ins and outs of how the barrels for beers are made and such.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The piece of paper that was signed gave the Guinness storehouse an absurd 9000-year lease for just 45 dollars a year <\/p>\n\n\n\n
