My time at the Irish film classification office was a short but fun and interesting experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the talk we had with the gentleman i learned how they usually rate films in Ireland\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
versus how we in america rate movies in america, and also how more strict america is when <\/p>\n\n\n\n
rating films with classifications like how if a film has too many words swears in ireland or <\/p>\n\n\n\n
anywhere else in Europe, at the most the film may become rated 15A or maybe 16, but in the <\/p>\n\n\n\n
US if a film has more than one F bomb it will become rated R. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was also really cool how my class got to rate one of the short films that they had showed us, i <\/p>\n\n\n\n
originally thought they weren’t going to show us something to wild but i was quickly proven <\/p>\n\n\n\n
wrong by the man committing suicide at the very begining of the film and once it finally ended <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We Rated it a 16, basically the equivalent to an R rating in america. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One thing i found pretty interesting is that they also rate video games as well but they don\u2019t <\/p>\n\n\n\n
actually play them, they usually get sent videos of the content and gameplay which i thought <\/p>\n\n\n\n
was pretty funny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As someone whos wants to get a job in film im really glad that i had gotten the chance to come <\/p>\n\n\n\n
to the Irish film classification and experience this and i would definitely want to see if i could go <\/p>\n\n\n\n
