Howth time, baby. And, no, I totally don’t keep calling it Hoth, like the Star Wars planet.

I am loving this Irish heat wave and our day in Howth made it even better. How many people are going to believe that I got sunburnt while I was in Ireland?
Taking the train to get there was so different than taking the T in Pittsburgh. Traveling here in general is completely different. I can walk around later in the day and not be scared for my life lol. I haven’t been cat called yet. The only bad experience I had was getting spit on, but that’s all.
I love seaside towns. Howth was perfect for me. I got to experience that wonderful smell of salt in the air and nom on some delicious calamari rings with E.
I learned that this part of Ireland used to be an island, but connected to the main land after years and years of sand building up.

Today’s focus was the Olde Hurdy Gurdy Museum of Vintage Radio. The tour guide called it a reverse TARDIS, which made my little nerd heart so happy. He was so right though. The museum was bigger on the outside than it was on the inside. It was filled with old types of radios. Some of them you wouldn’t even think were radios.
Also, while we were being filmed by a Swedish film crew for one of their most popular game shows. Hello???
The best part of the day was when Alex, Max, Grace, Sav, Jaylen, E, and I took a boat to the Eye of Ireland. E and I had our eyes on the eye, pun intended, from the moment we laid eyes on it. The hike up the island was a bit exhausting since we had already done so much that day.
Oh, but the view.
The view made it all worth it.
