London!

For Ayden and I’s second out-of-Ireland excursion, we decided to go to London! After another early and uncomfortable flight, we made it – only to have to kill time for 6 hours until our hotel check in. So we hop on a train into the city and first stop to get some breakfast. We find a cute little restaurant called The Breakfast Club. The food definitely on the pricey side, but it was good enough to make up for it.

Then, we just walked around for a while, taking in the sights and enjoying being in London. Ayden and I had a discussion about how similar London is to New York and other major cities and how aesthetically they’re all similar, but each has their own unique culture that sets them apart. We found and walked across London Bridge and it was so cool.

As we were walking down the street, I got hit with some major deja vu. I’m 100% positive that I saw the street we walked down in a dream of mine. Like in a dream this year. Ayden didn’t believe me, but it was totally uncanny. Anyways, after that we stopped at Krispy Kreme and I got a biscoff donut. It was mediocre.

Then we pit-stopped at a modern art museum and it was beautiful. Then, we found our way to Buckingham Palace. It was so grand and amazing and we got to see the guards walking around. In my opinion, some of the movements they make them do is just ridiculous and needlessly complicated. Around this time, we could check into our hotel. So we headed over there and took a much needed nap before our evening show – Romeo and Juliet at the Globe Theater.

The show was so good. I mean, it’s the Globe so I wasn’t suprised that it was top-tier Shakespeare, but it was still amazing. It was a western-themed production and I really loved who they adapted the story. By the time it was over, it was late so we turned in so we could wake up bright and early the next day.
