Okay, this day was the epitome of “good things come to those who wait”. My start to this day was ROUGH. It was a tough start that morning and I managed to forget my sunscreen and did not catch the text to bring my Point Park shirt, soooo needless to say I ended up burnt and embarrassed. While I was worrying about these things, I was also on the crammed and muggy tram on the way to Howth, so I was thankful to Grace for keeping me distracted from my stress.
I felt much better after we arrived in Howth and made it to the top of that hill to the Hurdy Gurdy museum. I got to take in the view, lay down in the grass soaking up the sun, and made a flower crown while awaiting my group’s turn to be in the museum!

The actual museum was so interesting in that it seemed so tiny on the outside, and it was on the inside as well but it was shockingly packed full of historical radio equipment from over the decades. My favorite pieces of equipment we saw had to be the radios from wartime that were disguised as regular objects. The picture frame radio and the Coca-Cola bottle especially stood out. It was honestly just fascinating to see how radio, especially, has transcended through time. I work at the station on campus, WPPJ, so it was cool to see more about radio in general at the museum.
After the museum visit I got some delicious fish n chips, a tried and true favorite of the trip, and then explored with friends. A serious highlight of the trip so far had to be going to the Eye of Ireland. We took a boat over and even saw puffins on the way! But when on the rock, we climbed to the top of the highest point and it was just truly breathtaking. Like, I had an entire Pride and Prejudice skirt-blowing-in-the-wind moment. I also had to sing Part of Your World while sitting on a rock there (obviously).

Howth gets an absolute 10/10 in my books and I am trying to convince my parents to retire there instead of stinky Florida.
