EPICally Late

May 15: Epic Museum

We were on the bus ride to the Epic Museum updating our class of our arrival time. It seemed we were going to be about 15 minutes late. We met up with a CEA worker named Maya since our class had already started their self-guided tour. I had no clue we were having a past closure time experience. We got little passports to stamp along the way through the museum.

The museum was definitely not what I expected. The whole thing was interactive and had videos playing in almost every room. I loved the dancing room because it had footprints down to follow the movements. It was very difficult, but I eventually understood how to do it. There was another room where you learned about different Irish sports. I really liked that one too because it some pictures and video clips.

Me and Mel weren’t even halfway through whenever a worker said we had 15 minutes left before we were getting kicked out. I was kind of disappointed we weren’t able to have the full 90 minutes the workers said it would take. It made me feel rushed and less likely to enjoy it. We sped through about 5 exhibits to make sure we could spend extra time in the few that interested us.

We got to the end which had a little gift shop. I picked out some souvenirs for my family when I was told the store was closing in a minute. I wanted to keep looking to find something for my sister, but didn’t want to miss out on buying the stuff I had already picked out. I felt like the whole experience was very rushed, but there was no point and going back since I had already walked through the whole thing. We had a delicious meal of Subway and McDonald’s that night. We were exhausted from our travels that morning and just wanted to go to sleep. Which is exactly what we did. We slept for about 11 hours that night, which was just what we needed to get through the next day.
