Clare County
so it was the day where we had a free day that I decided to head to the countryside with three of my classmates (Maddie, Ryan and Sydney). Before the trip I knew I wanted to go to Galway but didn’t have anyone to go so my mentor from big brothers and big sister has family in Ireland who lives in Galway. Ask me if I wanted to visit them in the countryside for a night and get to know them.
that day came, and we decided to travel to Galway by train, and it reminded me so much of Amtrak that I just took in all the scenery, and just watch as we headed to Galway as we left Dublin. Once we got there, I was met by my mentor’s friend named Mary and I got to spend time with her in the city center of Galway and later she took me up to Clare County where I had Irish barbecue with their family and got to know them a bit.
the second day, one of my mentors nieces, Keelin took me out for a day where she took me around touristy spot in her hometown. got to see the Cliff Of Moher, Explore the Aillwee Cave and had a nice time meeting my mentor family. One of my favorite part of this trip and hope i get to go back and explore more of Galway.
