May 19th: Day Fourteen
Today, Kira, Ash, and I took a trip to the beach in Bray. It was about 45 minutes on the train to get there. Kira and I definitely looked a bit silly wearing shorts and t-shirts since it was gloomy and windy. Once we got into Bray, we walked over to the beach, and found a nice spot to setup at. We spread our towels out, put our stuff down, and Kira and I made our way over to the water. We both agreed it was too cold to go fully in, but we wanted to feel how cold it would be on our feet. The water was absolutely frigid. Definitely picked one of the worse days to want to go into the water.
After running back to our towels, we sat down ate some snacks. Ash and I got up and were looking at rocks and trying to find cool ones. We also found some flat rocks to try and skip them, but we both discovered we completely forgot how to skip rocks, and that it made it harder to try and skip over the waves. We sat back down and were looking for some cool rocks around our towels, but Ash found some sea glass, so the three of us kept looking for more.
After over an hour on the beach, we all decided we were hungry and wanted to find something to eat. We went to the place that was right behind us on the beach. Kira and I got a pizza to split, with a mint aero milkshake, while Ash got a pasta dish. The food was really good, but we all felt a little underdressed going in. We headed back towards Dublin after dinner.
Later that night, Kira and I went to a pub where our new friend we met at the airport, plays music with his band every Monday night. We stayed for an hour and got to chat for a little bit before heading back. It was nice to catch up with him. Oh and of course we all got a selfie together so he could show his wife we came to see his band.
