Picnic and Bingo!

May 18th: Day Thirteen

Today, Kira and I decided to go out and have a picnic on our second to last free day of the trip. We had to run to Lidls to get some food to make our lunch. We have been wanting to try the donuts they have there, so we both picked out one each, and I got a mini baguette. We then headed over to the little park connected to Christchurch and ate our sandwiches, donuts, and chips. We also shared some of our food with the seagull who mysteriously appeared behind us. We were just sitting there and turned around to see a seagull staring at us.

The seagull walked a little closer, so I threw it a bugle, which he almost choked on because it swallowed it in one bite. I offered it another one, and it declined it. I guess it did not want to choke again. I then gave it some of my baguette, which is happily enjoyed, and kept getting closer wanting more. Kira threw it another piece of food, but it hit it in its head. To be fair, the seagull did not move and just let the piece of food hit its head.

After we ate, we walked over to the little market they have every Sunday at St. Patrick’s Park. We browsed for a little bit, and we both almost bought matching rings, but they did not have one in Kira’s size. I could not leave empty handed though, and I bought a book at a different stand. It was only eight euros, and it was a book I have been eying up for a little while now, so I took it as a sign to finally get it.

Later that night, Kira, Paula, Ayden, Ash, E, Sydney, Ryan, and I all went to the club because every Sunday night they host bingo. They were playing a different type of bingo that we do not play back home, so we all had to quickly google how to play. We eventually understood how to play, but none of us won since they only play two rounds. It was a fun night!
