More and Moher

Day Seven was another free day and another day with the lads. This time an even longer bus ride and another amazing driver, Jonathan. This man was a hoot and a half, entertaining us during the hours with story and song.

Time for the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Burren, and a brief amount of time in Galway.

The cliffs were insane. Which is so, so silly, because they are where the establishing shots for The Cliffs of Insanity in one of my favorite movies, The Princess Bride. The groups and groups of people made it a little irritating to move around. There were a lot more than there was yesterday, but I get it. Tourism, baby.

The tiny town of Doolin was next. This is where we stopped for a quick lunch. I tried chowder for the first time. The seafood chowder was great, Alex said he loved his stew, and E liked their fish and chips. But the man next to us, also across from E and I on the bus, was vocally not a fan. Very impatient and rude with the staff. I felt awful for them since we were in and out so quickly.

More gifts were bought here.

Burren next. This might be the craziest thing that I have ever seen. The rock formation looked like something out of a dnd game or a fantasy movie. Jonathan helped us take a picture and even got in one himself.

Galway happened. It was fine. We ran into Heather and Robin.

Later that night, E, Kira, Mel and I went to see a drag show at The George. I got a massive pint of cider, which was my first drink on the trip.
