May 12th: Day Seven
Today Kira and I spent most of the day at the Dublin Zoo. We got there a little after noon and got a crushed penny each at the gift shop before venturing out to see the animals. The first area we checked out was the Asia region, where we saw Dhole, which is an Asian wild dog, Asian lions, orangutan, red pandas, and more. After that we mad our way to the Humboldt penguins, which we took the alternative route to since penguins are my favorite animal. I never saw the Humboldt penguins in person before, so I was extra excited to see them.

After spending at least 15 minutes at the penguin exhibit, we made our way to the Africa region. We were able to see zebras, giraffes, oryx, and rhinos. After leaving that area, we saw some ducklings and their mom just chilling out next to this family. We watched their daughter laugh every time the ducklings bit her, and kept asking her parents if she can let them keep biting her.

Around 2pm, we made our way back to the penguins to watch them get fed, which was exciting since I love penguins. They were going crazy, trying to steal each other’s fish. We tried to see some of the chicks, but they would not come out of their little caves, so we left after 30 minutes. We finished up with all the exhibits and grabbing our magnet before leaving. We spent a grand total of over five hours at the zoo, which was surprising.
Later that night, Kira, E, Ash, and I, went to the club and watched some performances and hung out. Today was an overall fun day!
