Shopping Spree

Day Four was our very first free day since arriving in Dublin. A group of us decided to meet up at Grafton Street to do some shopping. We first started out at a big mall, and I got some gifts here. I got my dad a shot glass, and I got my brother a necklace. Then we went along the main stretch of Grafton Street. There was so much to explore here, and we got immersed in so many places. Everyone wanted to go to the Disney store. And they had some pretty cool stuff. Personally, I am a big Marvel and Star Wars fan, so I spent most of my time in here looking at those things. They had some really cool statues of Marvel and Star Wars characters. I managed to take a selfie with the Hulk one before I left.

Another location we had to go to was the Lego Store. They had a lot of really cool stuff here, and some of the sets actually seemed cheaper than in the United States. They also had a really cool statue made from Legos, which had special Irish themed characters. One had a fiddle, and another had a sign with a Celtic Trefoil on it. It gave the Lego store that Irish flair!

We continued to several other locations. E and Max really wanted to see the Warhammer store. And we passed Temple Bar on our way there. I didn’t want to get anything from here because I’ve heard it is so expensive. But I did manage to snag a picture!

Then we arrived at the Warhammer store. I know absolutely nothing about Warhammer, but all the figures looked really cool! We talked with the shop owners for quite a while there and they gave us tips about upcoming events. They told us about an anime convention happening soon in Dublin, so look for that soon maybe…. Finally to end off our day of shopping, several of us went to the Stag’s Head pub. We had been wanting to go to this pub for a while, and it was so worth it. The food was great and the scenery of the pub was very cool. A perfect way to end a great day!
