Hi blog today was a ton of fun. Myself and two of my classmates (Ayden and Paula) took a tour bus with Paddywagon to see other parts of Ireland. During our full day tour we got to stop at Rock of Cashel, Cork and then our main destination Blarney Castle. We started our journey at 8:00am as our bus departed from Dublin. Our tour guide was so much fun he gave us tons of fun facts on our way and his storytelling skills were top tier. Our first stop was at Rock of Cashel which was just this huge castle. We weren’t here very long but we had enough time to walk through the castle and take pictures of the view that overlooked the fields below. This castle had a couple round towers that made it look like something magical from a Disney movie.

Our next stop was Cork. Cork was a city similarly set up to Venice where water runs in and out of the city. The colorful houses and bridges definitely gives this city a beach feel. Because of this they had floods often and are not allowed to have flood insurance which I thought was crazy. We ate lunch while we were here at the English Market where we had fresh sausage.

We were then off to our final stop Blarney Castle. This was by far my favorite thing I have done while in Ireland so far. The grounds were just unreal. The castle and the landscape around it transformed you into another world. We only got 2.5 hours at this stop but I would have loved to spend the whole day exploring this site. We started by admiring the castle and getting in line to kiss the Blarney Stone. As someone who was afraid of heights this experience wasn’t nearly as scary as I thought it was going to be. We then ventured out into some of the gardens they had which included stumbling upon the Blarney House which reminded us a lot of the Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children house if you’re familiar. Then into the fair gardens, a couple caves and tunnels, and the seven sisters’ stones. This tourist attraction was definitely worse than visiting. After sleeping most of the bus ride home we arrived back in Dublin at 8:00pm. What an eventful day!
