Mama’s We have a finally MADE IT to the Greenland of Dublin, Ireland! YAYAYYAYAY
We arrived at Dublin Airport around 5:36 AM (12:26 AM Pittsburgh time), which means I hadn’t slept properly in over 24 hours! Some might say I literally landed back to Pittsburgh and to that, I’d say you’re right!
Breathing in the fresh Irish air for the first time after landing felt amazing, and I was so excited for the incredible two and a half weeks of adventure ahead. It still doesn’t feel real that I’m here in Europe I’m feeling so emotional and grateful for the amazing opportunity to travel somewhere new and learn about this beautiful city and country.
For those who might not know where Ireland is, here’s a visual map to help you out:
After dropping off our luggage at our apartment-style dorm at Staycity, we headed to our CEA classroom in the Champlain University building. Dr. Sean Harrington gave us our orientation, explained the safety guidelines and rules of Dublin, and even shared a bit of the city’s history. He also pointed out key landmarks to help us get our way back to the hotel.

Later on, two of my roommates, Ash and Maddie, and I decided to head to Lidl to grab some groceries.
Around 6:00 PM, we made our way to our welcome dinner at The Brazen Head. For dinner, I tried bangers and mash for the first time!

After a long day, we headed back, I said goodnight to the Dublin streets, and drifted off to sleep.
