About Our Trip
As emerging media professionals, a crucial aspect of studies involves creating a well-rounded international perspective on the range of media landscapes across the globe. In effort to expand student knowledge, the Point Park School of Communication organizes study-abroad opportunities every two years. This year 16 Point Park students will be studying in Dublin, Ireland for 18 days, exploring media outlets, cultural experiences and comparing and contrasting them to their American counterparts.
Throughout the trip students will be taking part in media experiences such as RTÉ studio tours, IFCO talk and screening, and visiting the Irish Parliament (Houses of the Oireachtas) with local journalists. Students will be involved in cultural experiences as well, including an Irish dancing class, a visit to the Old Hurdy Gurdy Museum of Radio, and and seeing the sites of Dublin, Ireland. We will also travel to Howth and Belfast in Northern Ireland. Follow the trip through student blogs and on social media with #IrelandPPU25!
